Here are my April squares. I will post the May ones later; I haven't uploaded them to Picasa yet.
I really like this one. I find I like the squares that are a little bit lacy but with some heft to them. Perfect for movie watching blankie - you know, not too warm, but still plenty snuggly. I generally figure out the color scheme as I go round by round. If do this pattern again I will probably do the center differently but I like this because I got all four colors in it.
I LOVE the leaves. I don't know how many times I had to start over on the row, for some reason I had a hard time keeping track of those leaves. This was not a good one to work on while watching tv for me. But I love the way it turned out. It's unique.
I don't remember what was going on the night I did this square but I was in a really bright and sunny mood. I think that comes through pretty clearly in my color choice. I wasn't sure the colors would be great together without any the "lamb" (creamy off-white) to break it up. I love the way it looks. The bright pink and green together make me smile. The photo isn't perfectly true to the color but it's a pretty good representation.
Ok...two crochet posts this morning. I think I'd better get to work so I can pay for my yarn addiction. I'll try to have some non-crochet posts this week, too.
