Influential Books

A while ago, probably a couple of months, I commented on one of Liturgy Geek's posts about her favorite books.  Because she asked (and I like and respect her) here is a list of 10 of the books that have influenced me greatly in no particular order.  I can't explain succintly why I love each of these so I guess I will embark upon a series of posts taking on each of them one by one.  That should keep be busy for a while.

  • The Stranger - Albert Camus
  • Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
  • Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver
  • Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen
  • A Tree Grows In Brooklyn - Betty Smith
  • The Portable Dorothy Parker
  • The Glass Menagerie - Tennessee Williams
  • Endgame - Samuel Beckett
  • Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston
  • Song of Solomon - Toni Morrison
  • House of the Spirits - Isabel Allende
In  other news: I would swear that I had spellcheck yesterday.
